Katie Findley Scholarship
The Wildcat Club awards the Katie Findley Scholarship, established over 20 years ago by Katie's mom, to memorialize her beloved daughter each year. Her generous gift has resulted in over $40,000 being awarded to deserving seniors.
Katie, who graduated from Lake Highlands in 1995, was a cheerleader co-captain and mascot during her high school days. In February of 1996 during her Freshman year in college, Katie was home for a weekend visit with her best friend, Megan Jones, when they were both tragically killed in a car accident.
In honor of Katie's life, the Katie Findley Scholarship awards $2000 to a college-bound senior.
